Halloween 2016

Spawn of an ancient curse, a creature straight from hell - and after a hundred years IT has returned - to a sleepy New York town - to its lair - to its hunting ground. Attracted to livestock and humans, no one ... nothing is safe.
Stark shocking horror has overtaken the Resort Lodge. Guests are disappearing, hikers have gone missing, even animals are vanishing from this posh upstate village.
Something unearthly and vicious has stepped out of a nightmare and is stalking the campgrounds. Terrorizing couples of all ages, especially lovers in secluded cabins. Only one man stands a chance of tracking and killing the thing. The problem is, he has no idea of what he's facing. As a lawman, he's only hunted humans.

Resort owners Valerie & Nate Warden have put every dime into the lodge, cabins and campgrounds. The place is booming, preparing for a Halloween bash. When a guest suddenly vanishes without a trace, desperate, Valerie calls upon her Texas Ranger brother, Jackson Swift, to save a damsel in distress. But soon the terror builds and more visitors go missing. Jackson doesn't have much to go on; the only ones who have seen this thing are the victims, and body parts can't talk. Without a description, and far from city crime, Jackson must tackle the wilderness and a beast that's proving impossible to corner, no less defeat.
Book one of Two. Concludes in Heartthrob Hotel, Lovers Haven, coming soon.
Warning: Raw, bloody horror and sex. For readers 16 and older. Not for the faint of heart. This is a seriously tense and graphic novel.

Finding You is the Pitch Perfect Winner!

5 Star Review

It is difficult to write a review of this exceptional book without getting into spoilers, which I absolutely will not do, even though it’s limiting to a certain extent.

When I read the prequel, The Agony of Being Me, I thought that a sequel was necessary and I looked forward to reading it, but Finding You far surpassed my expectations. Victoria Valentine has simply outdone herself. I am a big fan of her writing, particularly her Young Adult novels, and this one is far and away her best. It is a page-turner, fast-paced and electrifying. There are so many plot twists that I never saw coming, and an unexpected and heart-pounding finish that will leave you gasping for breath.

The characters of Jesse and Zoe, along with other supporting characters like Denny, are believable and relatable. Their interactions and dialogue exude warm, passion, love and tenderness. The technique that the author uses, of alternating voices, is highly dramatic and effective and it takes a gifted writer to pull it off successfully. This is how the author builds tension, and she does so expertly.

This story of Jesse and Zoe should not be limited to teenage romance. The characters are so tangible and so authentic that this story of the deep and profound love between them transcends the realm of “young adult” angst and will touch the heart of anyone who has ever experienced what being in love is really like. If you are someone who enjoys getting lost in a book, this one is not to be missed.  --Jill Lapin-Zell

CHAPTER 4

The cave was dank but adequate and all it had ever known. After all, it had brought maidens here. To ravish. To mate. It kept every single skeletal bone in a heap in the corner where sometimes it would sit and sniff, longing for the scent of them. The fragrance of fear. Defeat in their eyes as it took them. Savaged them. Consumed them and the fearless – or foolish − who had come to rescue the maidens. The bones of mates were trophies; the bones of heroes were stripped of flesh, gnawed and ground to fertilizer.

The floor was covered with mushrooms and moss where the fruit of the dead thrived. Spirits remained. At night they would cry out in anguish. Moan to be free, and this was music to its ears. It pleasured at their suffering, damnation, unrest of tortured souls.

These delights were locked inside its head, its mind, its soullessness; its lair would be their forever place. Would they one day escape? Not if it had anything to do with it.

It didn't speak a particular language yet it understood all. It possessed telepathy and like the demon that had created it, it knew the inside of a human head. An animal head. Had stalked both. Had tasted both. It sensed things, knew its surroundings. This made it a formidable and invincible opponent.
